The Vibe: Bangkok Burger Company has outlets located in Thonglor, Mega Bangna and Silom, and they promote themselves as serving gourmet burgers. All the locations are comfortably casual and feel a bit like a fast food joint with the added bonus of a full service bar inside. They distinguish themselves by offering one of the widest varieties of burgers in the city and have a regular menu featuring 19 signature burgers, 9 gourmet burgers and a seasonal menu with special burgers that are available for a limited time only. All of their meat is ground in house on a daily basis and they use a combination of wagyu, rib eye and aged sirloin from Australia. Another thing worth mentioning is their homemade hamburger buns. In addition to the regular white bun, they also offer a whole wheat and Italian herb with olive oil option. They attract an eclectic mix of locals and expats and appeal to customers of all age groups.
What To Eat & Drink: Bangkok Burger Company serves a large variety of signature cocktails and “grown up” alcoholic ice cream shakes in addition to house wine and beer. They usually have some sort of drink, beer or wine special going on which you can find updates about on their Facebook page. One of our favorite non-alcoholic options is the A&W Rootbeer Float which is well worth crossing town for. Burgers range from mild to extra spicy and they have veggie burgers, bean patties, fish, pork and chicken burgers, as well as lamb burgers and mini sliders. For a traditional burger try the Yankee Burger which is beef with bacon, onion ring and a spicy BBQ sauce. When choosing a side, keep in mind that the curly fries are exceptional, as are the crispy and well season hand cut steak fries. The Chicken Tenders are marinated overnight in milk and butter and are tender and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and served with a choice of 8 sauces. We recommend them with the Garlic Mayo and the Caesar sauces.
Insider Insights: If you want to try something different and explore a myriad of flavor combinations, this may be the place for you. But if you prefer the simplicity of a beefy tasting burger, then you may be let down a bit. It’s a bit of a shame since they use good quality beef, but the meat taste like it has filler and is more like “meat loaf” then beef patty. Also, a lot of the burgers like the lamb burger are so damn spicy they are almost inedible. You won’t break the bank at Bangkok Burger Company as you will pay about what you pay at Burger King or Carl's Jr. The addition of alcohol, non-beef burgers and nice handmade side items make it a good place to stop by even if you’re not too crazy about the beef burgers.
