The Vibe: Bangkok Burger Factory is a new breed of burger joints to stake its claim in Bangkok. Thai owned and operated, it's a shining example of how far the burger scene has grown over the past few years and they focus on creating one of a kind hand-crafted burgers. Burger Factory is the kind of place where you can come and hang out for a while, and enjoy some high quality burgers that are cooked with integrity and pride. They have a causal but rustic chic design aesthetic, and they attract a younger crowd of mostly local patrons.
What to Eat & Drink: They serve beer and wine, but it's the non-alcoholic beverages that are most memorable. Be sure to try the frosty, alcohol-free Frozen Mojito and the Factory Summer Brew which is a refreshing blend of root beer, peach, lime and fresh mint. Another nice drink is the rich and creamy original Oreo Milk Shake. A high standard of quality ingredients is a driving force behind their success and they use a combination of grass and corn fed beef that is imported from Australia. They distinguish themselves by grinding their meat in-house twice a day, and choose to use fresh meat over frozen when possible. They utilize two types of pork for the pork burgers and sushi grade salmon for the salmon burger. Our favorite burger without a doubt is the Pork Burger. It is juicy and bursting with flavor and the marriage of the melted cheese and caramelized onions is sheer perfection. You also can't go wrong with the signature Factory Burger which is a classic bacon cheeseburger with caramelized onions, and a spicy horseradish based sauce. It is terrific with a side order of tangy Potato Salad w/ Bacon and an order of BBQ Ribs which are very meaty and super tender.
Insider Insights: Lots of love and attention goes into preparing the food at Burger Factory and the buns, slaw, and potato salad are all homemade in-house. They have some wonderful signature sauces such as the wasabi-mayo, the chili catsup and the zesty, BF secret sauce. The quality of the meat really comes through on the burgers, but they are let down a bit by the buns which look nice, but they are too hard, dense and doughy. We also felt like the salmon burger was a bit too dry, but perhaps the one we tasted was just slightly overcooked. They also have a wide selection of beers including Guinness on tap, and hard to find soda like Cherry Coke and Dr Pepper. The prices are quite reasonable and they are absolutely worth a visit, even though you can have their burgers
